A 26-YEAR-OLD woman who died following a five-year cancer battle will pass through Colchester’s city centre for the final time.
Monique-Lianne Buckingham, a former St Thomas More’s pupil, died in hospital on November 3.
The popular young woman endured 92 rounds of chemotherapy after receiving her cancer diagnosis while studying at the University of Lincoln in 2017.
Monique’s parents, John and Anne Buckingham, of Elmstead Road, Colchester, have now invited those who knew of their daughter’s battle to pay their respects to her.
Her funeral is to be held in St James the Less and St Helen Catholic Church, in Priory Street, Colchester, at noon on Monday.
Monique’s body will be taken through Colchester High Street via a horse drawn carriage prior to the service.
The poignant procession will take place between 11.20am and 11.30am.
Those who knew Monique, including her 55,000 Instagram followers, are invited to bid their final farewell to the “loyal and loving” blogger as she passes through the city centre.
Paul, 62, said: “We want to let people in Colchester know so anyone who might have known her but hasn’t heard the news can come and say goodbye.”
