FORMER Colchester United striker Theo Robinson is on the lookout for a new club.
The 33-year-old forward joined Hartlepool on a free transfer in October but made only nine appearances, without finding the net.
Robinson has now been released by Pools, after being told by Pools boss Keith Curle that he was surplus to requirements.
Curle told the Hartlepool Mail: “Theo is no longer with us. It was my choice,”
“We’re looking (for a replacement). We’re always continually looking.
“But when you get to the beginning of December, going into January, the market that you’re looking in changes again.”
Robinson finished the 2019-20 season as the U's top scorer with 12 goals, following his loan spell from Southend United.
Robinson initially joined Colchester on loan from the Shrimpers in August, 2019.
And when that came to an end, he agreed another loan spell at the U's until the end of the season.
In total, Robinson made 34 appearances for Colchester during his time at the JobServe Community Stadium.
