A MENOPAUSE expert who has appeared on a range of national television shows and news channels will be leading an insightful talk in a Colchester village.

Diane Danzebrink, as seen on the likes of Lorraine, Good Morning Britain and Sky News, will host an event at Orpen Memorial Hall, in West Bergholt.

She founded Menopause Support after a dreadful experience following surgery which put her into surgical menopause.

Since then, she has launched the national Make Menopause Matter campaign, which has succeeded in having menopause education added to the school curriculum.

The charity has also been instrumental in ensuring all medical students will receive mandatory menopause education from the year 24/25.

During the event, the experienced expert will discuss the impacts the condition can have on women and how symptoms can be managed.

She will also discuss how the menopause can affect relationships, contribute to anxiety and depression, and cause physical pain, itchy skin and sleep issues.

A spokesman for the non-profit organisation, said: “It’s not all about hot flushes, night sweats and periods stopping.

“The average age of menopause is 51 but many women start their symptoms in their early 40s and for some it could start even earlier.

“Come and join us for a chat about all things menopause and get your questions answered. We look forward to seeing you.”

Tickets for the talk, taking place from 1pm on January 22, cost £10 and can be purchased by visiting eventbrite.co.uk and search Menopause and Colchester.
