A SERIAL killer expert will delve into the minds of murderers when she brings her increasingly popular talk to Colchester for fans of the morbid and macabre.

Cheish Merryweather will host her Inside The Mind of A Serial Killer evening at Colchester Town Hall on March 1 next year.

The two-hour talk will see Cheish, who has appeared on BBC programmes, focus on the world’s most notorious serial killers.

The event will look into the four types of serial killers, the seven cycles they go through, and why some people fall in love with evil executioners.

There will even be true tales about Fred and Rose West, Peter “Yorkshire Ripper” Sutcliffe, Dr. Harold Shipman, Jeffrey Dahmer and many more.

Guests will also be able to find out if they have the mind of a serial killer by taking part in live psychological games on the night.

Cheish said: "True crime really is having its moment lately following the release of several serial killer specials on Netflix that have gripped the public.

“I will be bringing together criminology and forensic psychology alongside real-life chilling stories all about some of the world's most notorious cold-blooded killers.

"Most serial killers and psychopaths are described as having highly manipulative personalities which means their crimes can go undetected for years.

“These talks aim to educate, fascinate and contribute to the ongoing conversation surrounding true crime with an injection of dark humour along the way."

Tickets for 7.30pm show, which is strictly for audience members 16 and over, cost £18 plus a booking fee and can be purchased by visiting eventbrite.co.uk.
