AN award-winning hand-cooked crisp brand in East Anglia has launched a limited edition flavour just in time for Christmas.

Fairfrields Farm, based in Wormingford, has unveiled its new Maple Glazed Ham concoction in celebration of the festive season.

Bringing together savoury smoked ham with a moreish sweet maple glaze, the sharing-sized packet of crisps packs an addictive punch.

The vegan and gluten-free chips, packaged in glamourous matte bronze bag, were grown, fried and packed on family-run business’ farm.

A spokesman for Fairfrields Farm said: “The new Maple Glazed Ham seasoning celebrates the festive table favourite.

“The new flavour has a sweet, smoky, spicy profile and is a fantastic showcase of the brand’s sustainability credentials.

“The brand fertilises its potatoes with by-product from the on-site anaerobic digestion plant and waters the crops using its own reservoirs.

“Outside of the product, the team also seed plants that pollinators love, provide food to birds in winter and plant trees and hedges to capture carbon.”

Crisp lovers looking to start the festivities early can find the limited edition bags at the East of England Co-op and on Amazon, or in farm shops and independent retailers.
