INVESTIGATIONS are underway after an assault left a man with a broken cheek bone and eye socket in Colchester city centre.
The victim, who is in his 20s, had been assaulted outside Baba’s Pizza House in Crouch Street at 3.45am on Saturday, November 5.
A 26-year-old man from Colchester was arrested a short time later and questioned on suspicion of GBH without intent and criminal damage.
He has since been released under investigation.
Police have asked anyone who has any information, CCTV, dash cam, or other footage, to get in contact with the police on 101, and quote the crime reference number 42/273829/22.
