POLICE are appealing to speak to a man in, who may have information, about an incident where a man committed a sex act on a train.

CCTV images have been released of a man police would like to speak to after another man allegedly committed a sex act on the train.  

The British Transport Police say just before 9pm on July 18, a man walked down the train’s aisle and sat on a seat near the victim.

He then exposed himself and masturbated while looking at the victim.

Officers believe the man in the CCTV images may have information which could help their investigation.

A spokesman for the British Transport Police said: “Officers investigating a sexual offence on-board a London to Southend train are releasing CCTV images in connection.

“At just before 9pm on 18 July, a man walked down the train’s aisle and sat on a seat near the victim.

“He then exposed himself and masturbated while looking at the victim, who then got up and moved away from the man.

“Officers believe the man in the CCTV images may have information which could help their investigation.

“If you recognise him or have any information, please contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 619 of 18 July.

“Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
