A 22-YEAR-OLD has denied murdering a popular Kurdish man in Colchester.
Rakar Rahimi, of Wellington Street, Ipswich, has been charged with murder as part of an ongoing investigation into the death of Bako Azad Sheikha in the Hythe.
Police officers launched the probe after Bako, 23, was fatally injured in Distillery Lane at about 2am on September 12.
An inquest heard Bako was seen to be run over “multiple times” and died from a stab wound to the heart.
A trial, which is expected to last seven days, will begin on March 27, 2023.
