PRIMARY school pupils left their teacher glowing with pride after immersing themselves in the world of science.
Youngsters at Cherry Tree Academy, Colchester, enjoyed an occasion packed full of experiments during World Science Day on Thursday.
The day highlights the significant role of science in society and aims to engage residents in debates on emerging scientific issues.
Those at the school in Holt Drive got stuck in to the magical world of science during a special day put on by their teachers.
Year 3 teacher Jessica Bassnett said the school was “so proud of their enthusiasm and engagement”.
She added: “From forces to digestive systems, we spent the day learning through practical investigations where the children loved learning through more of a how and why line of inquiry.
“We’ve completed some fantastic experiments and, as science lead, I’ve been amazed with their commitment and their analytical skills.”
