A BLUE plaque commemorating the life of a woman born in Colchester could be installed on an historic building.
The plaque will celebrate Catherine Marsh, who was born in the vicarage of St Peter’s Church, in North Hill, Colchester, in 1818.
The vicarage was, at the time, located in High Street on the site of the Albert Hall, now home to the Co-op Bank.
Ms Marsh was the fourth of five children and published several books before her death in 1912.
Colchester Council has the final say on the planning application.
