A TREE overhanging a car park could be chopped down amid concerns its leaves are blocking drainage.
An application submitted to Colchester Council seeks to see the tree fully removed from a property in Maidenburgh Street, Colchester.
A planning statement reads: “The tree has now matured and overhangs part of the car park area of Ken Cooke Court.
“It also overhangs the garage block and fallen leaves from the tree can block up the guttering on the garage block.”
Colchester Council has the final say on the proposal.
