THE plea hearing of a 22-year-old man accused of murdering a Kurdish man in Colchester has been adjourned.

Rakar Rahimi, 22, of Wellington Street, Ipswich, has been charged with murder as part of an ongoing investigation into the death of Bako Azad Sheikha in the Hythe.

Police officers launched the investigation after Bako, 23, was fatally injured in Distillery Lane at about 2am on September 12.

Rahimi is due to issue his plea to the charge at Basildon Crown Court on November 15.

A prior hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court fixed a provisional trial date for February 27 next year.
