A BUSY Colchester road is partially blocked due to an accident.
Traffic is heavily backlogged in Ipswich Road as a result of the incident adjacent to the Compton Road junction.
An eyewitness has told the Gazette the incident involved a moped rider coming off his vehicle, although this has not been confirmed.

He reported being stuck in traffic since about 1pm.

Both carriageways in Ipswich Road are partially blocked and traffic is building.
A spokesman for Essex County Council’s travel department said: “Ipswich Road in both directions is partially blocked, queueing traffic due to an accident at Compton Road.”
