A THIEF who snatched almost £160 worth of booze and meat has been put behind bars.
Paul Robert Dineen stole 12 bottles of prosecco and 17 packs of meat from the Co-op in Wimpole Road, Colchester.
The 37-year-old, of no fixed abode but known to the Colchester area, admitted two counts of theft when he appeared at Colchester Magistrates’ Court.
The court heard Dineen was already serving a community order at the time.
He was jailed for two weeks and ordered to pay a £154 surcharge for his latest crime.
