BOOKING has opened for zoo visitors to enjoy a magical trail that will include new illuminations, dancing fountains and more exciting attractions.

Colchester Zoo will host its enchanted light trail which will see the venue close at 4.30pm before opening at 5.30pm for the festivities.

The trail will have a designated route which will include the illuminations and Tendring Brass Band and Thundersley Brass Band will perform as well.

A spokesman for the zoo said: “There will be a themed photo point so you can purchase a souvenir of your magical evening.

“Seasonal food and drinks will be available along the route to keep you warm and cosy as you discover the trail, so there is no need to worry about eating beforehand.”

The enchanted light trail is a limited ticket, pre-bookable event with staggered arrival time slots.

All tickets cost £10 per person however children under three and assistants are not required to pre-book and will be admitted free of charge for the event.

Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a guardian over the age of 18 years or will not be admitted.
