A SHOPLIFTER has been found guilty of stealing close to £50 of food from a Co-Op convenience store.
Carlos Blanco, of Military Road, Colchester, appeared in Chelmsford Magistrates Court on Monday, October 24, where he admitted to theft from the Co-Operative store in Peartree Road.
The offence, which took place in September, involved the 38-year-old Blanco stealing £46.95 worth of food items.
As punishment, Blanco will have £46.95 deducted from his benefit payments.
