A HAIRDRESSER has been shortlisted as a rising star for a top beauty award.
Ella Fox, 20, of Layer de la Haye, is in contention for the ‘rising star’ category at the Hair and Beauty awards 2023.
It comes after she has been trading for a year.
The sought-after category celebrates the best industry newcomers, with the end goal of making it to the red-carpet event.
Ella works freelance for clients in Layer, under the title Hair By Ells X, as well as in the Little Hair Shop in Bourne Road.
On her shortlisting for the event, Ella said: “I cannot believe it is happening to me. I cannot wait for the event; I am really excited. The event is a red-carpet awards show in Birmingham, with other people from the industry.
“To win would mean the world to me, it would be absolutely fantastic.”
After applications are revised, successful finalists are invited to the Hair and Beauty Awards VIP Red Carpet event, which aims to celebrate the glamorous industry.
The glitzy event will take place on Friday, April 21 and will feature red-carpet paparazzi and celebrity hosts to hand winners their awards.
