Christmas comes to Meadowcroft Garden Centre!

As the run-up to Christmas begins, Christmas lovers are incredibly excited to experience Christmas magic at Meadowcroft’s German Christmas Market.

On Thursday the 15th of September, Meadowcroft opened their 8th annual Christmas market, and the public was delighted to see the decorations and try the delicious food with free entry!

The market allows the public to try mouth-watering, local German food such as Bratwurst sausage, Frankfurter, waffles, warm apple strudel, and Schokokusse (chocolate kisses). The market also offers a selection of warm drinks including spiced apple tea.

The market has more than 30 stalls which allow the local crafters to display their incredible talents. There is a wide variety of different Christmas baubles, Scandinavian gonks, wooden decorations, beautiful snow globes, nutcrackers and seasonal foods that are irresistible to buy. There are also many stalls with thousands of sweets such as candy canes and German lollipops-which are delicious- and multi-packs of sweets for gifts.

In addition to the delightful market, Meadowcroft is also giving the public a chance to play Bavarian Curling. This is a great opportunity for everyone to try a traditional Olympic sport and have fun as a family.

Meadowcroft also sells a wide range of modern Christmas decorations in many different colours, shapes and sizes which are colour-coordinated around the beautifully decorated building. Meadowcroft also sells a selection of outdoor Christmas decorations and thousands of Christmas Village buildings set out on an artistic display.

Customers can also benefit from the wonderful café where they can purchase a wide range of food such as breakfasts, lunches, wonderful cakes, and drinks. What’s even better is if you have any dietary requirements, Meadowcroft can cater for many different dietary needs.

The gift shop also provides many different Christmas gifts, toys, books, decorations, and foods such as a Pantone, mince pies, biscuits, and sweets. They also have a selection of Christmas cards, hats, and scarves.

The German Market is open until Friday the 23rd of September and is open 7 days a week (from 9 am-5:30 pm) Overall, it’s fantastic and is well worth the amazing visit!
