A DRINK driver has been fined close to £600 and given a driving ban.
Cameron Drummond, of Murieston Drive, West Lothian, was stopped by police in Colchester when he was driving a red Mercedes car in Maldon Road last month.
When given a breathalyser test by police, he had a proportion of 62 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, far exceeding the legal limit of 35 microgrammes.
Appearing at Colchester Magistrates court last week, Drummond, 26, admitted the offence.
He was fined £595, disqualified from driving for 17 months, and ordered to complete a drink-drive rehabilitation course.
