DRINK and drug drivers from across Colchester and Tendring have been banned from the roads.
Cases have been dealt with at both Colchester Magistrates’ Court and Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court in the last month.
Driving while above the drink and drug limits often results in a ban and fine.
- A DRINK driver has been banned from the roads after he was found to have got behind the wheel while over the legal alcohol limit.
Cameron Drummond, 26, drove a Mercedes in Colchester on September 11 while over the limit.
He was found to have 62mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg.
At Colchester Magistrates’ Court on October 18, Drummond, of Murieston Drive, Livingston, was fined £350 and ordered to pay £105 in costs.
He was banned from the roads for 17 months.
- A MAN who got behind the wheel while more than two times the legal alcohol limit has been fined and banned from driving.
Jason Parrott, 38, drove a Ford Focus in Wellesley Road, Clacton, on September 11 while over the limit.
He was found to have 87mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg.
Parrott, of Goldingham Avenue, Debden, appeared before magistrates on October 18 and admitted drink driving.
He was fined £120, ordered to pay £105 in costs and banned from driving for 22 months.
