The Good Beer Guide for 2023 has been released, with nine pubs from Colchester making it onto the list.
Venues such as Three Wise Monkeys, Purple Dog, Fat Cat and Odd One Out made it in.
The guide connects people with the pubs worth visiting and what drinks to try.
It features beer-serving establishments selected by members of CAMRA - Campaign for Real Ale.
The places that made the list are probably worth keeping note of for your next trip to the pub.
Colchester pubs featured in the Good Beer Guide 2023
Ale House
Address: 82 Butt Road, CO3 3DA
CAMRA describes the Ale House as having a "friendly landlady" alongside dispensing a wide range of ales, one dark beer and real cider.
British Grenadier
Address: 67 Military Road, CO1 2AP
Described as a "welcoming local", the British Grenadier has been featured in the guide for 15 years now and serves a range of nationally sourced beers and ciders.
Fat Cat
Address: 65 Butt Road, CO3 3BZ
The Fat Cat is described as having a "good choice of quality ales" as well as a selection of Belgian beers and cider.
Magnet
Address: 134 North Station Road, CO1 1UZ
Magnet offers three changing ales alongside "an unusual selection of keg" as well as plenty of Essex spirits.
New Inn
Address: 36 Chapel Street South, CO2 7AX
New Inn's "comfortable and cosy saloon bar" offers up to six real ales and four real ciders alongside traditional pub food.
Odd One Out
Address: 28 Mersea Road, CO2 7ET
Over seven handpumps Odd One Out has at least two beers from Colchester Brewery as well as a selection of "charming" guest ales for its publicans to enjoy.
Purple Dog

Cited as one of the oldest inns in Colchester by CAMRA the Purple Dog provides mainly regional beers as well as some of the usual offerings from town centre locations.
Three Wise Monkeys
Address: 60 High Street, CO1 1DN
Three Wise Monkeys provides a large range of cask and keg beers, as well as a downstairs gin bar.
Victoria Inn
Address: 10 North Station Road, CO1 1RB
The current local CAMRA Cider Pub of the Year, the Victoria Inn has a wide range of great drinks on offer.
This includes six to nine real ciders being available throughout, alongside three constantly changing beers sourced nationally.
