A LEADING provider of apprenticeships which opened a new training centre in Colchester earlier this year is looking to recruit budding electricians.

JTL is looking to take on a host of new apprentices with a particular interest in studying electrical engineering at the city’s new state-of-the-art facility.

Over the duration of the four-year apprenticeship, the students will develop all the theory and practical skills required for a career in the electrical industry.

After the course, the apprentices will be well-versed in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems in industrial, commercial and domestic environments.

Steven Bunting, manager at Colchester JTL centre, said: “We are delighted to open our training centre in Colchester and look forward to showcasing our facilities soon.

“We’re now looking to welcome new apprentices through the doors and demonstrate to them the true potential of a career in the electrical engineering trade.”

The new complex in Colchester joins JTL’s vast network of not-for-profit training centres across England and Wales.

From these locations, the company place learners with a local employer, as well as providing them with a dedicated training officer and a free toolkit.
