A PEDESTRIAN was left with serious injuries after a careless motorist collided with them on a zebra crossing.
Leon Lucas, 23, has been handed seven points on his driving licence after magistrates said his driving was “not suitable” for the conditions of the weather and the road.
Colchester Magistrates’ Court heard a pedestrian was left seriously injured as a result of the incident on December 7, 2021, in Earls Colne High Street.
Lucas, of Magdalen Street, Colchester, admitted driving without due care and attention and was ordered to pay £821 in a fine, surcharge and costs.
