POLICE are investigating an incident which left three people injured and two of the victims suffering serious injuries.

Officers were called to reports of a fight at the Black Horse pub in Moulsham Street, Chelmsford, at about 8.40pm on Saturday, October 15.

When officers arrived they found two men with serious injuries.

One had an injury to the back of his head and another to his eye.

Both men were taken to hospital for treatment.

A third man sustained less serious injuries.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: “Through our inquiries we believe the men had attempted to intervene in an ongoing fight involving around seven people.

“We believe the area would have been busy at that time of night and need anyone who saw anything to contact us.

“If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us, quoting incident 1249 of October 15.”
