AN award-winning garden centre is getting into the Christmas spirit with the launch of its showstopping displays set to take customers back in time.

Perrywood Garden Centre in Tiptree has unveiled its Christmas shop with the theme ‘Step Back in Time’.

The display will take visitors on a nostalgic journey of some of Britain’s best-loved decades starting from the 1980s and going back to the 1800s.

Shoppers can take festive selfies among the decorations and be inspired with ideas to make homes and gardens magical this Christmas.

The garden centre will be open until 9pm for its late-night launch evening on Wednesday, November 9.

At the launch event, there will be live music and food and drink tasting.

The family run garden centre will be open late every Wednesday until 7.30pm up to Monday, December 7.

Retail Director, Simon Bourne, said: "This year we've gone all out to create a nostalgic experience to appeal to all ages.

“It starts with a 1980's colour explosion full of poptastic vibes and ends in the 1800's, with trees full of pastel pinks and fluffy owls.

“Since we opened last weekend, there has been a real buzz and we've heard plenty of ‘wows’.

“We are looking forward to the late night openings as it's the perfect time to fully appreciate all the twinkling Christmas lights."

To celebrate the opening of the Christmas display, Perrywood are giving a ten per cent off token to the first 50 customers at the garden centre before 10am on Saturday, October 22; Saturday, October 29 and Saturday, November 5.

Customers with the token will get ten per cent off all Christmas items.

To make Christmas shopping smoother for customers, the garden centre has introduced a new personal shopping service.

Customers can book an exclusive appointment with a member of the team who will help with choosing the perfect products for the home.

The team member will use their experience of dressing trees and knowledge of the range to help to put together the perfect scheme.

Bookings can be made on the Perrywood Garden Centre website.
