A DRIVER who was caught using her phone whilst driving on one of Colchester’s main roads has been fined and banned from driving for six months.
In January, Amy Turner, of Wakefield Close, Colchester, was caught looking down at her phone whilst driving her Ford Focus on Cowdray Avenue.
The 32-year-old appeared in Basildon Magistrates Court where she admitted the offence.
Ms Turner was fined a total of £164 and disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months, with court papers stating the driving ban was because she was a repeat offender.
