A MAN who assaulted an emergency worker has been fined.
Graeme Hicks, who lives in Old Chapel Drive, Stanway, appeared in Colchester magistrates court last month where he was charged with assault by beating of an emergency worker.
Admitting the offence, which took place in April, the 30-year-old was fined £410 and the amount deducted from the payments he receives on state benefits.
Hicks must also comply with rehabilitation activity between now and September next year.
