MALDON District Council has teamed up with Maldon and District Community Volunteers, to create a new climate action survey, giving residents the chance to have their say.

The new survey asks residents to voice their opinions and provide suggestions for projects and activities that can be used to develop the local environment, whilst taking steps to impact climate change.

The survey begins by asking residents to order what their top priority would be, presenting a range of options and incentives.

Residents are then able to then drag the propositions into order of priority, ranging from one to ten in importance.

The wide range of incentives listed include education and involving young people, supporting walking and cycling, reducing waste, understanding the district's unique environment and supporting 'buy local'.

Residents can then enter their own opinion into a box, giving them the chance to have a say.

The survey provides people with a list of ideas the council has come up with, giving them the chance to rate each individual idea on a scale from one to ten.

Options include growing wildflower verges to attract insects, recycling awareness days and even outdoor wellbeing opportunities, such as meditation.
