BOSSES at Colchester Borough Homes (CBH) marked a successful year after recording a top customer satisfaction score.
As the council’s housing arm, CBH oversees council housing as well as the operations of other public facilities, such as the Leisure World.
At its annual general meeting which took place last Wednesday at the Mercury Theatre, CBH’s executive team reported an overall customer satisfaction score of 85 per cent, and also noted that 98 per cent of repairs were completed upon first visit, with the letting service recording the same score.
Winners of the Good Neighbour Awards were also announced at the AGM, which was also attended by Councillor Julie Young, the portfolio holder for housing at Colchester Council.
CBH is to play a major role in the future of Colchester’s housing market whilst it delivers affordable council housing for those who cannot afford to buy.
Councillor Young said: "This is an exciting time for our soon to be city.
"Colchester Borough Council is committed to delivering new and improved social housing in Colchester, which will help us to provide much needed affordable, high quality rented accommodation and help grow our local economy."
