A FATHER is lacing up for a marathon effort while helping the fight against prostate cancer.
Seb Pearce, from Colchester, will be running this year’s London Marathon on Sunday after becoming inspired by other fundraisers.
The 29-year-old will be running the iconic event for Prostate Cancer UK while donning its famous blue and black colours.
He will be part of the charity’s squad of 180 runners – its largest ever – all raising money to stop prostate cancer being a killer.
The marathon is more than a run for Seb, who was inspired to go the distance after years of working for the charity and witnessing the impact the disease has on men and their families.

He said: “Since joining Prostate Cancer UK, I’ve heard countless stories and met hundreds of inspirational fundraisers who are determined to do their bit in letting men know their risk of prostate cancer and raising money towards lifesaving research into the disease.
“This inspired me to take action myself, and what better place to do that than at the London Marathon.”
