A MAN has been taken to hospital after a collision which also saw his electric bike stolen in a robbery.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the incident in Bowers Gifford at 2am this morning, September 24.

A man’s electric bike was taken after he was in a collision with a car.

It was reported that the man, in his 20s, was in London Road travelling towards Pitsea when the incident happened.

The victim suffered serious injuries to his leg and was taken to hospital.

A man, who had his face covered, is reported to have got out of a silver Ford Focus car, threatened the victim and told him not to move before taking his bike.

The car, driven by a second man who is described as having blond hair, drove off towards Pitsea.

Police are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information.
