Learner - the incident almost caused a collision
AN impatient driver who overtook a learner driver on a blind bend has been handed five points on her licence.
Anastasiya Alderson, 37, was driving a Vauxhall Mokka in The Commons, Colchester, on March 2 when she encountered the learner who was undertaking tuition.
Colchester Magistrates’ Court heard Alderson then overtook the learner on a blind corner, causing a driver travelling in the opposite direction to brake to avoid a collision.
Alderson, of Kensington Road, Colchester, admitted driving without reasonable consideration.
She was ordered to pay £224 in a fine, costs and surcharge and handed five points on her licence.
