PETROLHEADS have plenty to look forward to this weekend as a top charity car show returns to the city.

The Essex Classic Vehicle show is scheduled to return to Colchester on Sunday.

Running from 10.30am to 4.30pm, the classic car event is returning to Lower Castle Park.

Organisers say more than 250 cars will be on show and promises to be a great day out for car-lovers.

Also available will be a bounty of stalls and other family entertainment.

The event is an opportunity to raise money for the Headway Essex charity.

The charity, which organised the event, helps those suffering from brain injuries.

Tickets for the car show range from £3 to £14

In a statement on their website, Headway Essex said: “The Essex Classic Vehicle Show will return to the beautiful historic setting of Colchester Castle Park on September 25

“With over 250 classic vehicles from across the decades on display and a combined vehicle history of over 7,000 years, everyone is guaranteed to find something to enjoy.

“It is a rare treat to view so many classic vehicles in all their glory and have an opportunity to chat with the owners.

"As well as plenty of spectacular vehicles, there will also be a wonderful selection of crafts, gifts and food stalls, as well as entertainment for the whole family."
