A 22-YEAR OLD man charged with murdering a Kurdish man in Colchester is set to face a trial next year.
Rakar Rahimi, of no fixed abode, has been charged with murder as part of an ongoing investigation into the death of Bako Azad Sheikha in the Hythe.
Police officers launched the investigation after Bako, 23, was fatally injured in Distillery Lane at about 2am last Monday.
Rahimi, 22, is due to issue his plea on the murder charge on November 11.
A hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court on Tuesday fixed a provisional trial date for February 27 next year.
