A MAN has appeared in court charged with attempted murder.
Geoffrey Ryan, 53, of Brick Kiln Way, Braintree, appeared at Colchester Magistrates' Court on Monday, September 12.
He faces charges of attempted murder, racially aggravated public order and possession of an offensive weapon.

No pleas were entered and Ryan is due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on October 10.
It follows an incident outside The Lounge Bar in Braintree last Friday which saw one man hospitalised with life-threatening injuries.
