COLCHESTER United are running the rule over former West Ham United winger Jayden Fevrier.
The 19-year-old, who was released by the Hammers at the end of last season, featured in the U's under-21 draw with Charlton Athletic, on Monday.
Fevrier, who can also play as a left-back and right winger, also played for Colchester's youngsters in their Professional Development League match at Birmingham City, last week.

Fevrier, who joined West Ham at the age of six, worked closely with the U's sporting director Dmitri Halajko, during his time as the Hammers' under-23 lead coach.
He made his under-18 debut for West Ham at the age of just 14 and then followed that up by becoming the club's youngest-ever reserve team player after appearing as a substitute against Leicester City aged 15 years, six months and 12 days, in October 2018.

However, he then suffered a long-term injury which halted his rapid progress, after he was sidelined for eight months.
Nevertheless, Fevrier returned to make nine appearances for West Ham in both Premier League 2 and U18 Premier League South, in the 2020/21 season.
That led to him signing his first professional contract with the Premier League club in the summer of 2021.

However, he was one of six young players to be released from the Hammers' development squad in May, a group that also included Ossama Ashley who joined the U's on a one-year contract in July.
Fevrier is also a former West Ham team-mate of Dan Chesters, who joined Colchester on a season-long loan from the Premier League club last month.
