A MAN has been charged with attempted murder following an incident outside a Braintree nightlife hotspot over the weekend.
Geoffrey Ryan, 53, of Brick Kiln Way, Braintree, will appear at Colchester Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
He will face charges of attempted murder, racially aggravated public order, and possession of an offensive weapon.
It follows an alleged incident outside The Lounge Bar on Friday which saw one man hospitalised with life threatening injuries.
Ryan has been remanded in custody ahead of his court appearance.
