STAFF at the University of Essex are to vote on whether to strike over the coming university term as the industrial dispute in higher education continues.
Across the UK, more than 70,000 staff at 150 universities are being balloted in separate disputes over pensions, pay, and working conditions.
The University College Union (UCU), which represents university staff, is demanding a 12 per cent pay rise and an end to zero-hour contracts
A result from the vote is due at the end of October.
