ASPIRING rockers are being encouraged to sign up to a community initiative which strives to introduce youngsters to the joys of performing.
All Star Rock School is dedicated to transforming the way young people in Colchester learn about music and how to play an instrument.
Students aged between six and 18 who enrol on the course can be taught everything from guitar and drums to bass and singing.
During the tuition sessions with a difference, which are led by professionals who have toured all over the world, pupils learn songs before performing them as a band.
While the rehearsals are taking place, the All Star Rock School’s team will also be looking to book in gigs and festival performances for the mini musicians.
Natalie Wheatley-Perry, co-founder of All Star Rock School, said: “Kids who love music want to be in an exciting environment where they can perform with their peers and learn from switched on adults who have the experiences they aspire to.
“I couldn’t see anything in the area that ticked all the boxes so, with help from a team of experts we built All Star Rock School.
“Last year saw our students perform at some fantastic gigs - to see the inspiration these experiences give our young people is incredible.”
