A FORTHCOMING evening of original live music in a tiny town centre pub is “not to be missed,” according to the musician turned promoter behind the successful gig night.
Capturing The Moon will take over the Red Lion, in Manningtree, for a fourth time in as many months on September 16.
The exciting line-up will consist of headliners Bull, Swedish songwriters Junodef, and acoustic solo artist Ben Brown, who will open night.
Ben, who is known for playing with Dingus Khan, SuperGlu and Anna’s Bones, launched the monthly event in order to bring great music to his hometown.
Speaking about his latest curation, for which tickets cost £10, he said: “I can't quite put into words how excited I am that we have Bull coming to the Red Lion.
“These guys blew my mind a few months back – they have gorgeous harmonies and a wonderful songcraft, and they are lots and lots of fun.
“Support comes from Sweden, via East London, in the form of the brooding and bewitching Junodef.
“And, as ever, I will be dazzling you with my own brand of estuary heartland power pop. This one really is not to be missed and I look forward to seeing you there.”
Tickets can be purchased by visiting redlionmanningtree.co.uk/event/capturing-the-moon or from the bar on the night of the gig.
