A CONCERNED driver quickly alerted police this morning after seeing a dog walking along the side of the A12.
Essex Police were called to the scene, where they quickly located the dog in a layby along the A12.
We received a 999 call from a driver on the #A12 in #Colchester that they saw a dog on the side of the road and were worried it may run in front of traffic. @EPColchester attended and located the dog in a lay-by.

The dog is now in the safe hands at Colchester Police Station, whilst the team await its microchip details to come back.
