A COLCHESTER-based charity has been given a cash boost after receiving a large donation from a global e-commerce company.
Amazon in Tilbury has handed £1,000 to Autism Anglia, to help provide funds for their services.
Autism Anglia is an independent charity which provides care, support and education to autistic children, adults and their families in East Anglia.
The donation will be put towards improving outdoor play equipment at their specialist autism school in Colchester.
Autism Anglia’s Doucecroft School is a specialist co-educational school for children and young people with autism and additional complex needs.
Chief executive of Autism Anglia Kate Hancock said: “A big thank you goes to the Amazon team in Tilbury for supporting us with this donation.
“It means the world to us that companies like Amazon want to support our charity, and we are extremely grateful.
General manager at Amazon in Tilbury Ruzanna Sargsyan added: “It is our pleasure to offer this donation to Autism Anglia and we hope that this will help the charity to continue to provide excellent support for people with autism.”
