NEW figures show that East Suffolk and North Essex Trust was caring for 55 coronavirus patients, as of Tuesday August 23.
Data from NHS England shows that the number of people being treated in hospital for coronavirus was down from 72 patients the previous week.
The total number of beds at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, occupied by people Covid-19 patients, had decreased by 60 per cent in the last four weeks.
Data shows 28 days ago, there were 138.
