THE “best kept secret” in comedy will take to the stage of a city centre entertainment venue later this year for what will be a side-splitting show.

Scott Bennett, who has been blazing a trail through the stand-up circuit for the best part of a decade, will perform at Colchester Arts Centre on October 14.

Previously, he has written for a wealth of high-profile acts such as Chris Ramsey and Jason Manford, and he recently recorded his debut on BBC One’s Live at the Apollo.

His last two shows Leap Year and Relax were nominated for Best Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival and during locked he launched Stand Up From The Shed.

The show achieved national coverage in the national press and on the likes of Sky News, BBC News and Five Live, amassing more than 150,000 views.

The funny man is now set to visit the UK’s newest city for a night of non-stop laughter which will leave Colchester audience members grinning from ear-to-ear.

Tickets for the performance cost £15 and can be purchased by visiting colchesterartscentre.com or calling the box office on 01206 500900.

Doors to the venue will open at 7.30pm and Scott take to the stage roughly half an hour later.
