Students of St Helena School achieved strong GCSE results across the board as they take the next steps in their educational journey.

Notable results included Lucy Boddice, who gained four grade 9s, two distinctions and three grade 8s. She will go on to study Biology, Chemistry, French and History at Colchester Sixth Form College.

Jake Inman achieved three grade 9s, six grade 8s, and a grade 7. He will go on to study Maths, Physics and Medieval History at the college.

Tito Ahmed achieved three grade 9s, four grade 8s, a grade 7 and two grade 6s. He will go on to study Maths, Physics and Electronics at the college.

Seb Jensen secured three grade 9s, two distinctions, four grade 8s and a grade 7. He will go on to study Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science and Philosophy at the North Hill college in Colchester.

Libby Belton achieved two grade 9s, a distinction, two grade 8s, four grade 7s and a grade 6. She will study French, Computer Science, Biology and Chemistry at the college.

Executive headteacher Fiona Pierson said: “We can be secure in the knowledge that this year group are well prepared for the next stage in their education.

“Their results overall reflect that they are successful learners with the character, knowledge, skills, ability to think and imagination that they need to achieve amazing things.”
