A CRASH on one of Colchester's main roads has shut the route in both directions.
Three vehicles were involved in the incident in Mersea Road at just after 4pm this afternoon.

A graphic published by the Essex Travel News Twitter account shows that there is a major traffic build-up in Wimpole Road, Brook Street, and Magdalen Street as drivers look to avoid the area.
When contacted by the Gazette, a spokesman for Essex Police confirmed no injuries were reported and no arrests have been made by the authorities.
