Heritage walk to raise funds for statue celebrating nursery rhyme writer
A HERITAGE walk will raise money for a statue to celebrate the writers who penned a world-famous nursery rhyme.
Colchester High Steward Sir Bob Russell will host the walk on Sunday, starting at 10am from Colchester Arts Centre.
Sir Bob is raising money to fund a statue of sisters Jane and Ann Taylor, prolific writers of stories and poems for children.
Jane penned Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star in Colchester in 1806.

Alternatively, turn up on the day. A donation of £5 is requested.
