A VAN driver has been banned from the roads for two years after getting behind the wheel despite being disqualified.
Mark Figg, 40, was driving a Ford Transit in Waldegraves Lane, West Mersea, on May 2 when he was caught.
Figg, of Tollesbury Road, Maldon, admitted the offence at Colchester Magistrates’ Court.
He was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison suspended for a year and banned from driving for 25 months.
Figg was also ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work and 40 days of a rehabilitation activity, and must pay £233 in costs and a surcharge.
