A MAN accused of threatening to smash a woman’s car with a plank of wood is due to appear in court.
Randall Nicholas was arrested at his home in Ipswich Road, Colchester, following a disturbance on July 1.
The 31-year-old was subsequently charged with threatening to damage property, possession of an offensive weapon and using threatening language to cause harassment.
A magistrates report states the weapon was a three-foot plank of wood.
He is due to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on August 23.
The charges of threatening to damage property and possession of an offensive weapon were discontinued on August 23.
