A MAN who assaulted a woman in Colchester has been ordered to compensate his victim.
Joshua Brooks, of Spurgeon Street, Colchester, admitted the offence, which took place on April 17, when he appeared at Colchester Magistrates’ Court.
The 29-year-old was ordered to undertake up to 20 days of a rehabilitation requirement for his crime, and must also carry out 200 hours of unpaid work within a year.
He was ordered to pay £150 in compensation to his victim and £200 in a surcharge and court costs.
